City Commission Meeting 3-9-08

Marathon meeting down at 222 Meigs tonight. Got a report that it was pretty heated at times. It's on right now: Channel 81.

I hear that the Register's Jason Singer asked some great questions on the Nuesse matter.

Budget problems galore, the marina that appears to be pushed through without running it through the standard bid process, the Nuesse matter, many questions few answers.

Watching the meeting on channel 81 this evening makes it clear to me that this city commission is lost in the details of incomplete projects with too many irons in the fire not to mention all of the Nuesse circus, the MD disaster project and the city hall renovation misdirection.

Let's see some increased numbers at the coming meetings with more citizens showing up to ask the necessary questions about the lack of leadership on the city commission and at city hall.

We are not being served well by the city commissioners and there should be no additional projects planned without addressing the Paper District project.

I'm watching it too. Thank God for people like Tim Schwanger. Transparency. Nail 'em Tim! They talk so much about tranparency. I missed the first part of the meeting, but I'm gonna rattle on here, hope ya don't mind...

Stahl: "This is the longest audience participation I've ever...blah blah...

Get ready for more, pal. It's only gonna get worse.
