What's the 411?

I didn't make it to the Commissioner's meeting, so if you're so inclined, could you give a rundown on the good stuff in the comments? I really wanted to cover it with the camera, but other duties called.

You missed a good meeting. As always questions asked of the city commissioners were greeted with no comments. We can't comment, and there is a plan for the budget but no details are being released. It is hands off Cedar Point for the admission tax coming from Stahl. Stahl tried to pull a fast one on the Chesapeake condo owners with the marina and the owners brought with them their attorney so no monkey business can take place and got the commission to back down. RFPs are going out along with bids to construct the marina like there should have been all along and not allow Hoty to have an exclusive. The commission might as well proclaim executive session right from the beginning of the meeting as no information is flowing at all. The meeting was four and a half hours long and if Stahl would cut out the fluff, we could cut the meeting in half easily. After the meeting there were 5 executive sessions planned and it looks like the commissioners will be at city hall until midnight discussing the rest of the meeting.

Mr Editor -

Perhaps this is a little off topic, but please explain the "411" in your blog title. I think everyone gets the "Firelands," but I for one don't understand the significance of the 411.

Thanks.

What number do you call for "information?"

411.

Thanks anonymous. I did not know that was the number to dial for information - I've never used it.

You know, they could have even called this "Firelands 911" because our governments are in such a chaotic mess and in a state of emergency.

How will this mess ever get cleaned up?
