Firelands Blog Ring Forming

As blogs are created for area news and issues in the firelands area, we'll showcase them and link them in the sidebar.

The RemoveBarbJohnson blog has information on the 'tea parties' that are popping up in America.

Huron2009 is a new blog created to cover issues in Huron.

Hopefully these blogs stay active! It's nice to see more and more people realize the benefit to citizen journalism. It doesn't take anything more than accuracy and fairness to provide a news outlet for people in our area!

Once again, if you are interested in learning the ins and outs of blogger, contact me at the address in the upper right corner of the sidebar.

Thanks for the plug 411. We have new postings at least once a week, sometimes a little more often. So I encourage you and your readers to check out the "Remove Johnson" site at least once a week.

Over the next 4 years, I hope to have enough documentation to prove that she should not be re elected yet again for a 7th term in 2012. I also have plans to get the word of this blog out to the public, however, word of mouth is the best advertising. So I ask your readers to please spread the word.

I too have put the 411 and Huron 2009 link in my sidebar. It is important that the voters get educated and stay up to date.

Again 411, thanks for the plug!

Thanks for the link and kind words 411. Your summary of Citizen Journalism is right on the mark.

The November 2009 Election will provide Huron Voters with an opportunity to elect 5 of 7 Councilmembers. The purpose of Huron2009 is to generate interest in this election, encourage a wide selection of candidates, and provide a forum for discussion of this important election.

The more citizens that can keep shining the light of information on our governments, the better.

Keep up the good work and thanks again.

I tried to contact Barb Johnson today and was told she wasn't in but "might" be in tomorrow. Looks like she's back to her old tricks.
