Live Blog Debriefing

Thanks to everyone who participated in the live blog. We had about 50 people watching - but only 12 actively participated. On one hand I'd like to see more participation, but at the same time too many people and the chat gets hard to follow. Special thanks to Sandusky City Commissioner Dan Kaman for taking part - and logging in right at 8:00 pm to boot!

If any other commissioners are interested in taking part, please send me an email so we can set up moderation planning: firelands411@yahoo.com

Question: What topic should be covered next week?

How about "Conspiracy Theories."

That would be an interesting topic to cover.

Could you attempt to contact someone who provides legal advice on accessing public records and other types of public documents?

Perhaps then some city commissioners could interact with citizens to follow the law...

I prefer the standard blogs versus the live blogs because they are easier to follow. Nothing changes or will change because of the live blogs and what was said last night. It is just letting steam off. Status quo for the commission is onward with the power and never mind the taxpayer. Next time these guys come to me for a vote, they get the door slammed in their face just like they do to us when we try to address them and they give us a no comment.

Would that be local conspiracy theories or worldwide for all-time? That could be a wide range to cover.

P.S. Last night was good. I enjoyed being a part of it.

Bob, I'd like to concentrate on local conspiracy theories. My interest is in the actual phenomenon and how if it becomes too pervasive in public dialogue that it actually discredits the drive for public accountability. Oh heck, maybe it's more a topic worthy of an essay type blog posting...

Thanks for participating last night. Hope to see you in the next one too!

conspiracy theories...let's disect that down to the topic of "How's is Sandusky's Marina District coming". Then we can look at each promise before the election and see where it is. Then maybe, just maybe, the RAH-RAH crowd will see the project promised is right now nothing like the project being floated now. Then maybe, just maybe, people will see that this project is doomed and should be re-voted on. Or better yet, commissioners grow some man grapes and kill it at the table.

Nothing is going to change until the FBI comes in and cleans up the corruption. This town has been operating like this for years and years and they wonder why the watch dogs are always looking over their shoulder. If it weren't for the watch dogs a lot more unethical things would be going on. The commission trys to pull fast ones and they get in trouble for it every time and the city causes lawsuits that should have never been in the first place.
