New Site Location: Update Your Bookmarks

The Sandusky Register has 411 up and running - so if you like what you've been reading here, update your bookmarks to the new site location:

http://www2.sanduskyregister.com/blogs/firelands411

So far, we have the same site functionality as this site so we should be able to do all the same things there that we do here:

Videos, polls, text, pictures, it'll all be the same. The only major difference is the commenting system. You have to register - to that I say, "big deal." Register an anonymous email address with yahoo or gmail and create a pseudonym on the SR and stick with it. End of problem. But you all have your preferences and you can do whatcha like!

So: No more posts here unless something goes terribly wrong with the Register (they try to exert some kind of control on content which I don't forsee happening) or their servers are down and I'm just dying to post something which probably won't happen either. (I'll use that as an excuse to take a short vacation from blogging!)

So thanks for visiting here - and I'll see you over there.

It started already. Need to log in on the Register site. Well, that didn't take very long to shut it down. How about the situation with Mike Hacker? He wanted to hold staff accountable and Kline said there wasn't a problem and Warner said it has been dealt with. It sounded to me that there was a problem. So, if no wrong doing was done with the snow removal, why did Warner jump in and say that it has been dealt with? Sounds to me that Kline wasn't honest in how he presented it. Sounds like one big snow job. By the way, I couldn't sign in on the chat last night.

How about those executive sessions last night? I believe I counted all five of them. What was the deal with the one concerning Scott Schell? Way too many exeutive sessions and they are getting worse with each meeting. I hated everytime that Stahl's buzzer went off for people voicing their opinions that their time was up. What a way to treat the people who are at the top of the organization chart, which is their bosses.

Too bad that the SR appears to be using this blog as a foil to defend itself in the Westerhold - Baxter food fight by demonstrating that no other blogs exist that are not required to register bloggers.

Can't say that I will miss this blog now!

I was wandering how long it would be before you gave in to the GOB's. They will now be better able to shut your comments down when they do not conform to their agendas. They did it to the SR on subjects and now they can do it to you. Oh well it was great while it lasted. I guess I couldn't expect anything less as our present anti-Amerincan president is trying to do the same thing only on a national level. I refuse to register on the SR, this will allow them to track bloggers down and cause them to shut down the blogs when they like. Good Luck 411.

I have to agree, I think this site was far better on the live blogging and less intrusive on comment makers. I absolutely do not like the idea of big brother knowing your log in information. This gives people like Baxter ammunition to get commenters IP addresses so he can get them shut down if he doesn't like what is being said. The SR site gives the GOB's the ability to shut down the SR blogging or have them take off blogs they do not like, as it has happened in the past.

The SR blogs and 411 sure have become booooooring. Nice while it lasted. Bye.

Sadly I agree with the above comment.....

Didn't take Westerhold long to blow 411's anonymity. I don't imagine that was an accident.

You can't trust the SR, take the list of the gun owners as an example. This is why I will not do any blogging on the SR. If you have to register they will know who you are and are liable to disclose your name. Yes, 411 there are programs out there that will allow you to surf and blog and they cannot trace your IP address. I would have thought you would know this.

Is it not obvious that the reason for 411 to become the most recent lapdog for the SR is because the SR promotes 411 in some egotistical way as oppossed to 411 continuing to provide a medium for the free exchange of ideas?

For the SR, they are desparate to increase hits on their website since they now require bloggers to register. As a result, the SR now has a lower frequency of hits to their website and that may result in lower revenue come time to convince advertisers to stay with them on their lower performing website.

It is always about the money and not the principles used as excuses whenever the SR or 411 are truly taken to task.

Just ask those who are accused of wearing tin foil hats!

Considering how 411 was on the side of Kim Nuesse I'm confused. Why did Westerhold tell who 411 was?

Who says that is 411's real name. Maybe he is using it as a pen name or alias. I have another name that might be his real name, but I will not divulge it at this time.

Go to this link to learn about the growing discontent about wind energy generators being cited for noise abatement concerns.

Before it is too late the city needs to rethink the windmill nonsense.
